'The Good Acoustic'- A John Greven/ Goodacoustics collaboration

You may have noticed the acclaim John has been receiving for his 14fret OOO guitars- it's well deserved! I've played many of these and the very best seem to be his mahogany boxes. They have a sound that you wouldn't believe. When a mahogany guitars have this much bass, you have the best of both worlds: a clean, sweet bottom end, and beautiful fat trebles. After much discussion we decided to offer up a model based on his OOO shape with all the features any musician would be proud to own and perform on.

This is the first prototype of the series with Lutz spruce and mahogany and trimmed entirely in tortis binding. The Lutz has a quicker break-in time than Adirondack but also more sparkle in the mids. Custom features:
- a flatter neck radius at 16" as well as the wider 2 3/16" bridge spacing to suit a more fingerstyle approach.
- additional multi-line purfling on the back and end wedge
- satin, gunstock neck finish
